We had a sitdown with Seth from Team LDLC, who will be one of many French representatives at ESL Katowice. We had a talk about his expectations for this event.
Seth is a relatively unknown player within the Fortnite community, but he managed to get 47th in the WR Finals as his biggest result yet, he will be participating alongside his teammate Madzen.
Seth sees this a pre-tournament for the highly anticipated World Cup which Fortnite will be hosting later this year, which will most likely be the biggest event Fortnite has ever hosted, and something every pro player is looking forward to.
Seth will alongside his duo Madzen aim for the 1st place, and take home the 80.000 $, however, they know the competition will be hard with this being an international event, with so many high profiled players.
Seth believes he and Madzen have what it takes to clinch the top spot, with them practicing every day and working on a healthy mental state to secure that they are always on top of their game.
Lately, they have been working on their mentality and how to always keep a positive mindset, which will be needed in the tournament as it will be a long tournament with 14 games. And sometimes RNG just plays a factor, and being able to work through that will be an asset at ESL
Seth believes the current state of Fortnite is the best we have seen in a while, and it is steady but slowly going into the right direction, however when one of his pre-game rituals are to “Pray for the zone” he still believes that sometimes they just can’t influence the way the game works in their favor.
Seth was recently signed by LDLC with his duo Madzen. and for him, as a French to be represented by a respected French org means a lot, and they hope they can repay them by doing well in the upcoming tournaments.
There is also some healthy competition going on in the French community, where some of the players previously played on the same team. Now they will be competing against each other, and Seth believes their biggest rival will be LeStream, as 2 of his former teammates are playing there. However, if Seth and Madzen do not win, he believes one of the other French teams will be victorious because he believes they have the qualities within the French community.
We wish LDLC and their players the best of luck at the upcoming event and in the future!
