We had a talk with Villex, who is currently a free agent, about his performance at ESL, and how he experienced ESL.
Villex was one of the free agents, who accomplished most at the event. Villex was for a long time around the top 5 in duos, but in the last game Villex and K1nzell did not get enough points to remain top 5. This lead to Villex placing 10th in the duo tournament with his former teammate K1nzell. Villex managed to get 31st in the solo tournament. Which he according to himself did not take to seriously.
ESL was an experience

Villex enjoyed participating at ESL, not only was the event well organized, it was also filled with a lot of friendly players, including his former teammates.
The format was one of things Villex believed made the event a success. ESL introduced a new format, where placement and kills were both rewarded, and with a good balance between kills and placement.
Villex believes ESL did a great job hosting the event, and hiring the right staff, to help the players out.
However, there was something ESL did not control, and that was the server lag and the bugs. Fortnite updated the game just before the event, which meant there were some bugs in the game, which in some games had a big impact, resulting in peoples death.
Satisfied with the results?
Villex is not satisfied with his performance at ESL Katowice, he believes with the format, that he should have done much better. Villex is not sure whether or not he managed to impress potential organization at ESL. However, Villex was the best placed free agent in the duo tournament, and he did show his skills in this tournament. But his mentality will always be to keep improving.
Villex is looking forward to the World Cup this summer, and hopes that he can qualify, so he can go to New York and show himself, in what is going to be the biggest event in Fortnite history.
We are sure Villex will not be a free agent for long, if he keeps showing up at big events like ESL Katowice. We wish Villex the best, and good luck in the future!
